Star Trek: Voyager novelist Kirsten Beyer joins Star Trek TV series writing team

As development continues on CBS’ new Star Trek TV series ahead of a September production start date, Trek Core has revealed that author Kirsten Beyer has joined showrunner Bryan Fuller on the writing team for the show.

Beyer has plenty of Trek experience, having penned eight Star Trek: Voyager novels, and joins a writers room that also includes Nicholas Meyer (Star Trek II: The Wrath of Khan, Star Trek IV: The Voyage Home, Star Trek VI: The Undiscovered County).

Star Trek is set to premiere on CBS in January, with subsequent episodes arriving weekly on CBS All Access.
