Game of Thrones star Sophie Turner has taken to Twitter to share a brand new image from X-Men: Apocalypse featuring her character Jean Grey and Tye Sheridan’s Scott Summers out record shopping for the latest Dazzler album…

While the image itself could just be a nice little Easter egg, Turner’s comment about her being her favourite singer’s album (pre 1989) has led to speculation that the actress could be referring to Taylor Swift’s 2014 album 1989. Things get a little more interesting when, as noted by Collider, we pop back to July of last year when Simon Kinberg posted an image of Swift visiting the Apocalypse set – during which time it was suggested that the singer could be cameoing as Dazzler.

Dazzler made her first appearance in Uncanny X-Men #130 back in 1980, where she was depicted as a disco singer who can convert sound vibrations into light and energy beams.
Following the critically acclaimed global smash hit X-Men: Days of Future Past, director Bryan Singer returns with X-MEN: APOCALYPSE. Since the dawn of civilization, he was worshipped as a god. X-Men: Apocalypse is set for release on May 18th in the UK and May 27th in the States. The cast includes X-Men veterans James McAvoy (Professor X), Michael Fassbender (Magneto), Jennifer Lawrence (Mystique), Nicholas Hoult (Beast), Evan Peters (Quicksilver), Rose Byrne (Moira MacTaggert), Lucas Till (Havok) and Hugh Jackman (Wolverine) along with new additions Oscar Isaac (Star Wars: The Force Awakens) as Apocalypse, Sophie Turner (Game of Thrones) as Jean Grey, Tye Sheridan (Mud) as Cyclops, Alexandra Shipp (House of Anubis) as Storm, Kodi Smit-McPhee (Dawn of the Planet of the Apes) as Nightcrawler, Ben Hardy (EastEnders) as Angel, Olivia Munn (Magic Mike) as Psylocke and newcomer Lana Condor as Jubilee.
