It’s been in development for several years, but filming is now finally underway on New Line Cinema’s adaptation of the Stephen King horror classic It, with director Andy Muschietti (Mama) marking the occasion by sharing the following teaser images on Instagram:

It is set for release on September 8th, 2017, and sees Bill Skarsgard (Hemlock Grove) starring as Pennywise alongside Jaeden Lieberher (St. Vincent), Finn Wolfhard (Stranger Things), Jack Dylan Grazer (Tales of Halloween), Wyatt Oleff (Guardians of the Galaxy), Chosen Jacobs (Cops and Robbers), Jeremy Ray Taylor (Alvin and the Chipmunks: The Road Chip), Owen Teague (Bloodline) and Nicholas Hamilton (Captain Fantastic).
