Despite all of the talk of a return to the practical effects focus of the Original Trilogy in the build up to the release of the Star Wars: The Force Awakens, the visual effects wizards at Industrial Light & Magic still had their work cut out on the film when it came to digital effects.
Although you’d never guess from watching it, there’s actually more CGI in The Force Awakens than Star Wars: Episode I – The Phantom Menace, and ILM has now released a fascinating ‘Behind the Magic’ VFX reel showcasing their rather fantastic work on the J.J.
