With Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. now on its midseason break until January, Marvel and ABC have announced that an online webseries spinoff is set to fill the gap, with Slingshot premiering next week on ABC Go and Marvel.com.
Slingshot will revolve around the character of Elena ‘Yo-Yo’ Rodriguez, played by Natalia Cordova-Buckley, and will take place prior to the events of season four, with appearances from Coulson (Clark Gregg), Daisy (Chloe Bennet), May (Ming-Na Wen), Fitz (Iain De Caestecker), Simmons (Elizabeth Henstridge) and Mack (Henry Simmons).

The webseries marks the first spinoff from Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D., and will premiere on December 13th, with each episode set to last between 3 and 6 minutes.
