J.A. Bayona reveals that his dream project would be a Superman movie

January 7, 2017 by Gary Collinson

Director J.A. Bayona is currently gearing up to take over the reins of the Jurassic Park franchise, with production on the sequel to Jurassic World set to get underway next month, but he’s taken the time for a Reddit Q&A to promote the release of his new film A Monster Calls, during which he revealed his dream project – a Superman movie.

“The first movie I saw in my life was Superman,” said Bayona. “I was three years old. The first memory I had was Christopher Reeve flying in the suit. Directing a Superman film would be great. I always wanted to be Superman. That’s the film that made me want to become a director.”

Warner Bros. does reportedly have a sequel to Man of Steel on its development slate, so perhaps Bayona may get to realise his dream…

Would Bayona be a good choice for Man of Steel 2? If not, who would you like to see taking over from Zack Snyder? Let us know your thoughts in the comments below…
