Joe Manganiello unsure if he’ll get to play Deathstroke in The Batman

March 19, 2017 by Gary Collinson

A few days ago, it was reported that Warner Bros. had decided to push back production on The Batman to 2018, owing to director Matt Reeves’ ongoing commitments to this summer’s War for the Planet of the Apes.

Coinciding with the news was a rumour that the screenplay for the Dark Knight solo movie would be undergoing a complete page-one rewrite, and now Joe Manganiello has been chatting to Pittsburgh Today Live, where he seemed uncertain about whether he’ll get to portray Deathstroke, stating “maybe, we’ll see” when asked about his participation in the movie.

Manganiello has been very active over the past few months on social media showing his training and research for the role, so this U-turn definitely seems to support the rumour that the project is receiving a major overhaul.

Will you be disappointed if we don’t get to see Deathstroke going up against The Dark Knight in The Batman? Let us know your thoughts in the comments below…
