Bryan Singer reveals that Stan Lee will cameo in X-Men pilot Gifted

April 28, 2017 by Gary Collinson

As filming continues on Fox and Marvel’s X-Men series Gifted, director Bryan Singer has taken to Instagram to reveal that Stan Lee will be making his customary cameo appearance in the pilot episode of the show, with Singer sharing the following image:

Gifted will mark the third time that Singer has directed Stan Lee after the original X-Men in 2000 and last year’s X-Men: Apocalypse.

The series follows two ordinary parents who are forced to go on the run after discovering their children possess the X-gene, and find themselves linking up with an underground group of mutants fighting for freedom from persecution.

Matt Nix (Burn Notice) is serving as showrunner on Gifted, with X-Men veteran Bryan Singer directing the pilot episode. Stephen Moyer (True Blood) and Amy Acker (Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.) are set to play the leads, Reed and Kate Stewart, while the rest of the cast includes Natalie Alyn Lind (The Goldbergs), Emma Dumont (Pretty Little Liars), Jamie Chung (Gotham), Blair Redford (Switched at Birth), Sean Teale (Incorporated), Coby Bell (Burn Notice) and Joseph Morgan (The Originals).
