Supergirl’s Frederick Schmidt joins Mission: Impossible 6

Deadline is reporting that Frederick Schmidt has become the latest addition to the cast of Paramount Pictures and Skydance Productions’ upcoming action spy sequel Mission: Impossible 6. Schmidt recently appeared in The CW’s superhero series Supergirl, where he played the villain Metallo, and will also soon be seen alongside Matt Smith and Natalie Dormer in Patient Zero.

Mission: Impossible 6 is being directed by Rogue Nation helmer Christopher McQuarrie and sees the return of Tom Cruise (Ethan Hunt), Rebecca Ferguson (Ilsa Faust), Simon Pegg (Benji Dunn), Ving Rhames (Luther Stickell), Alec Baldwin (Alan Hunley) and Sean Harris (Solomon Lane), along with new additions Henry Cavill (Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice), Sian Brooke (Sherlock) and Vanessa Kirby (The Crown).

Filming on Mission: Impossible 6 is set to get underway this summer ahead of a release on July 27th 2018.
