Daniel Radcliffe to headline action comedy Guns Akimbo from Deathgasm director

May 13, 2017 by Gary Collinson

Daniel Radcliffe has signed on to star in Guns Akimbo, an upcoming action-comedy from Jason Lei Howden, director of the cult heavy metal horror comedy Deathgasm.

Variety reports that Radcliffe will play Miles, “an ordinary guy who suddenly finds himself forced to fight a gladiator-like battle for a dark website that streams the violence for viewers. Miles must fight heavily armed Nix and also save his kidnapped ex-girlfriend.”

“Jason Lei Howden is an incredibly talented new filmmaker, who with Guns Akimbo delivers a commercial action film that is original, fresh and gives us unique and exciting characters,” said producer Joe Neurauter of Occupant Entertainment. “We are convinced that audiences will love to discover Daniel Radcliffe as Miles.”

Guns Akimbo is currently in pre-production and Altitude Films and Occupant Entertainment will be seeking a buyer at Cannes this month.
