Josh Duhamel to make directorial debut with The Buddy Games for WWE Studios

June 27, 2017 by Gary Collinson

Transformers: The Last Knight star Josh Duhamel is set to make his directorial debut on The Buddy Games, a new film from WWE Studios, which will see him starring alongside WWE Superstar Sheamus and Nick Swardson (Reno 911!).

Deadline reports that the fil follows “a group of thirtysomething friends who reunite to play the Buddy Game. That is a wild assortment of absurd physical and mental challenges. In the process, they heal old wounds, right past wrongs and figure out the true meaning of friendship — or die trying.”

Production on The Buddy Games is set to get underway in Vancouver in August, with Duhamel directing from a script he wrote with Jude Weng and Bob Schwartz.
