Rumour: Fantastic Four “kid-centric” reboot will rework Mark Millar’s Kindergarten Heroes

August 27, 2017 by Gary Collinson

Back in June it was rumoured that 20th Century Fox has decided to take another stab at the Fantastic Four franchise with a “kid-centric” reboot focussing on the characters of Franklin and Valeria, the children of Reed Richards and Sue Storm.

Well, according to Bleeding Cool, the project remains in development, and has been merged with Kindergarten Heroes, an as-yet-unpublished book from Mark Millar, which was optioned by Fox back in 2013. Apparently Kindergarten Heroes will serve as the basis for the new Fantastic Four movie, which is reportedly being written by Seth Grahame-Smith.

In addition to the rumoured reboot, 20th Century Fox is also working on a solo Doctor Doom movie, which is being developed by Legion creator Noah Hawley. So, don’t expect to see those rights heading back to Marvel Studios any time soon…
