Julianne Hough cast in Weider biopic Bigger

September 27, 2017 by Gary Collinson

Grease: Live! star Julianne Hough is set to take on the role of fitness pioneer Betty Weider in Bigger, the upcoming biopic of Joe and Ben Weider from director George Gallo (Middle Men).

The film will explore the rags to riches story of the Weider brothers, Jewish immigrants who rose from poverty to change the face of professional bodybuilding, launching the Mr. Olympia contest, and building an empire of fitness equipment and nutritional supplements. Betty, a former pinup model, and her husband Joe also co-founded Shape magazine, the most successful women’s health and fitness publication in the United States.

Bigger sees Tyler Hoechlin and Aneurin Barnard as Joe and Ben Weider, while the cast also includes Kevin Durand, Colton Haynes, Victoria Justice, Max Martini, Robert Forster, Tom Arnold and Calum Von Moger.
