Ratings for Marvel’s Inhumans continue to slide

October 17, 2017 by Gary Collinson

After getting off to a slow start in the ratings with its premiere at the end of September, ABC’s latest Marvel series Inhumans continues to lose viewers at a rather alarming rate.

After negative reviews and word of mouth stemming from its IMAX screenings at the beginning of September, Inhumans pulled in 3.8 million viewers with its two hour premiere on September 29th, along with a 0.9 rating in the key 18-49 demographic. However, this slipped to 2.8 million viewers and a 0.7 for its third episode, while Friday’s fourth episode lost a further half a million viewers for a total of 2.3 million viewers and a 0.6 rating.

Given these kinds of numbers, ABC and Marvel must be relieved that the show only has eight episodes to run, and the chances of a second season must be virtually non-existent at present (rumours preceding the premiere had even claimed that ABC had already made the decision to cancel the show before it started airing).

Are you one of the 2.3 million people who’ve stuck with Inhumans? Will you continue to watch for the remainder of the season? Let us know in the comments below…
