AMC held its Walking Dead panel at the New York Comic Con yesterday, and in addition to unveiling a clip from the season eight premiere [watch it here], creator Robert Kirkman revealed that the worlds are set to collide with a crossover between The Walking Dead and its companion series Fear the Walking Dead.
“There is one character that is going to go from one show, that I will not name, to another show, that I will not name,” said Kirkman during the panel. “This is a huge event in the world of The Walking Dead.”
No further details were revealed, save for the fact that the crossover will take place at some point next year.
Given the timeline of the two shows – Fear the Walking Dead’s most recent third season is taking place around the same time as the first two seasons of The Walking Dead – we’ll presumably be seeing a character from the main show appearing in the spinoff.
