Charmed reboot casts Sarah Jeffery

February 24, 2018 by Gary Collinson

Following on from the casting of Melonie Diaz, The CW has found the second of its three sisters for the Charmed reboot, with Deadline reporting that Sarah Jeffery (Shades of Blue) has become the latest addition to the pilot.

Jeffery is set to portray Madison, the youngest of the three sisters, and a bubbly college freshman who finds witchcraft at odds with her goal of getting into a super-fun sorority. Diaz portrays Madison’s sister Mel, while Ser’Darius Blain (Jumanji: Welcome to the Jungle) has been cast as  Galvin, the boyfriend of third sister Macy.

Created by Jane the Virgin creator-showrunner Jennie Snyder Urman along with Jessica O’Toole and Amy Rardin, the new Charmed is described as a “fierce, funny, feminist reboot of the original series which centers on three sisters in a college town who discover they are witches. Between vanquishing supernatural demons, tearing down the patriarchy, and maintaining familial bonds, a witch’s work is never done.”
