It may have already wrapped filming, but Deadline is bringing word of another cast member for Sony’s Spider-Man spinoff Venom.
According to the site, actress Sope Aluko is set to appear in the Ruben Fleischer-directed film, where she will feature opposite Tom Hardy, Michelle Williams, Riz Ahmed, Scott Haze, Reid Scott and Woody Harrelson.
Aluko recently enjoyed a minor role in Marvel’s Black Panther, where she played Shaman, one of the guardians of the heart-shaped herb. Her other credits include roles in the likes of Pitch Perfect 2, Graceland and Bloodline.

Venom is set for release on October 5th 2018, and is taking its inspiration from the Lethal Protector and Planet of the Symbiotes comic book story arcs. Watch the first teaser trailer here.
