Chuck’s Ryan McPartlin joins the Bad Boys TV series

March 18, 2018 by Gary Collinson

Deadline is reporting that Ryan McPartlin (Chuck) will be joining Gabrielle Union and Jessica Alba in the Bad Boys spinoff TV pilot at NBC.

Written by Brandon Margolis and Brandon Sonnier (The Blacklist), the pilot will see Union reprising her Bad Boys II role as Syd, a former DEA agent now living in Los Angeles and working as an LAPD detective. Syd finds herself partnered with working mom Nancy McKenna (Alba), who can’t help but look at Syd’s free-spirited lifestyle with some grass-is-greener envy.

McPartlin is set to play Nancy’s husband Dr. Patrick McKenna, who is a former Army medic now working as a successful ER trauma doctor in Beverly Hills. The actor joins a cast that also includes Ernie Hudson, Zach Gilford and Duane Martin.

In addition to the Bad Boys pilot, Sony has recently announced that it is moving forward with a third entry in the movie series, with Adil El Arbi and Bilall Fallah (Gangsta, Snowfall) attached to direct the returning Martin Lawrence and Will Smith in Bad Boys For Life.
