Elisabeth Moss joins Melissa McCarthy and Tiffany Haddish in DC mob drama The Kitchen

March 22, 2018 by Gary Collinson

Last month it was announced that Melissa McCarthy (Ghostbusters) and Tiffany Haddish (Girls Trip) had been cast in The Kitchen, an adaptation of the Vertigo comic book series from New Line Cinema and DC Entertainment, and now comes word that Golden Globe winner Elisabeth Moss (The Handmaid’s Tale) has also signed on to the project.

Andrea Berloff, screenwriter on Straight Outta Compton, is making her directorial debut with the movie, which is a gritty Irish mafia story that takes place in 1970s New York and revolves around three mob wives who take over their husbands’ criminal enterprise in Hell’s Kitchen when the men are busted by the FBI.

Moss will next be seen in the second season of Hulu’s acclaimed Margaret Atwood adaptation The Handmaid’s Tale, and also has the feature films The Seagull and Old Man and the Gun in the can. Her upcoming movie roles include Simon Curtis’ Call Jane, Alex Ross Perry’s Her Smell, and Ritesh Batra’s A Letter from Rosemary Kennedy.
