Latest Dying Light update brings new game mode and an Easter egg hunt

March 30, 2018 by Andrew Newton

Techland have revealed a fresh dose of free content coming to zombie fans of Dying Light with double content drop available today bringing a brand new location, a fresh game mode, a fearsome new enemy and an Easter egg hunt.

The first of this double drop brings the new location, Prison island, an isolated fortress that is also the home to the new game mode, Prison Heist.  In this game mode players will need to break into the armory as fast as they can and loot the place clean before the alarm goes off, this can be attempted solo or with friends in co-op.  The better the performance from the player or team will reap better rewards.  There will also be a community contest on Prison Island later in April.

With the second free drop today brings a new visitor to Old Town; say hello to Sgt. Deathrow, a bigger, stronger and more unpredictable variant of Demolisher mutation.  He’s tough but killing him will provide a massive amount of experience points.

Today also brings a new community bounty, the Harran Egg Hunt.  Players will need to chase down the zombified Easter Bunny and collect the eggs to unlock the magnificent Easter Outfit.  The Harran Easter Egg Hunt will end on 3rd April.

Techland will be bringing more content later this April.
