X-Men: Dark Phoenix set photo reveals the team’s new costumes

March 10, 2018 by Gary Collinson

With much of 20th Century Fox’s focus on May’s Deadpool 2, we’re yet to really see much in the way of marketing for the next instalment in the main X-Men franchise, X-Men: Dark Phoenix, save for a batch of first look images that arrived online back in December.

Well, while we await the start of the promotional push for the November release, we do have a new photo from the set of the mutant superhero sequel which features team members Cyclops (Tye Sheridan), Jean Grey (Sophie Turner), Quicksilver (Evan Peters), Storm (Alexandra Shipp), Nightcrawler (Kodi Smit-McPhee), Beast (Nicholas Hoult) and Mystique (Jennifer Lawrence) in their new costumes, which look to be taking inspiration from Grant Morrison and Frank Quitely’s New X-Men suits.

Let us know what you make of these costumes in the comments below…

After the X-Men team is dispatched to space for a rescue mission, a solar flare hits the X-Jet and the surge of energy ignites a malevolent, power-hungry new force within Jean – the Phoenix.

X-Men: Dark Phoenix is set for release on November 2nd, 2018. Simon Kinberg is directing a cast that includes franchise veterans Michael Fassbender (Magneto), James McAvoy (Professor X), Jennifer Lawrence (Mystique), Nicholas Hoult (Beast), Alexandra Shipp (Storm), Sophie Turner (Jean Grey), Tye Sheridan (Cyclops), Kodi Smit-McPhee (Nightcrawler) and Evan Peters (Quicksilver) alongside new additions Jessica Chastain and Lamar Johnson.
