Alyson Hannigan and more join the live-action Kim Possible movie

May 26, 2018 by Gary Collinson

Last month Disney announced that Sadie Stanley and Sean Giambrone are to star as Kim Possible and Ron Stoppable in the live-action Kim Possible film, and now we’ve got word of the supporting cast for the Disney Channel Original Movie.

Alyson Hannigan (How I Met Your Mother) is set to play Dr. Ann Possible / Mom Possible, with Connie Ray (The Big C) as Nana Possible, Todd Stashwick (12 Monkeys) and Taylor Ortega as villains Drakken and Shego, Ciara Wilson (OMG!) as new high school student Athena, and Erika Tham (Make It Pop) as Kim’s childhood frenemy Bonnie.

Kim Possible launched in 2002 and ran for 87 episodes across four seasons on The Disney Channel. It revolves around the titular character, a teenager who fights crime whilst dealing with everyday issues associated with adolescence.

The movie is being written by animated series Mark McCorkle and Bob Schooley with Josh Cagan (The DUFF), while Adam B. Stein and Zach Lipovsky (MECH X-4) are directing. Production is set to get underway later this year ahead of a Disney Channel premiere in 2019.
