Dave Bautista is not happy with James Gunn’s firing from Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3

July 21, 2018 by Ricky Church

After old tweets from Guardians of the Galaxy director James Gunn resurfaced, angering fans for their offensive humour involving rape and pedophilia, Disney took the step to quickly fire Gunn from directing Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3, a movie he was already actively working on writing. While the speed of Disney’s decision was surprising, there hasn’t been too much vocal support for Gunn. Now, however, Drax the Destroyer actor Dave Bautista has spoken out against Gunn’s firing and he is not happy.

Speaking from his Twitter account, Bautista said “@JamesGunn is one of the most loving, caring, good natured people I have ever met… He’s made mistakes. We all have. Im NOT ok with what’s happening to him”.

I will have more to say but for right now all I will say is this..@JamesGunn is one of the most loving, caring, good natured people I have ever met. He’s gentle and kind and cares deeply for people and animals. He’s made mistakes. We all have. Im NOT ok with what’s happening to him

So far he is the only member of the Guardians and Marvel Cinematic Universe cast so speak out on Gunn’s firing. Do you agree with Disney’s decision or agree with Bautista that this was perhaps an overstep? Let us know below…
