The Predator undergoing more reshoots, but still on track for September release

July 28, 2018 by Amie Cranswick

Having undergone extensive reshoots back in March – which reportedly reworked much of the film’s third act – it seems that 20th Century Fox and Shane Black’s The Predator is now set to return to Vancouver for some further additional photography.

Production Weekly has revealed that, unlike March’s reshoots, the additional filming will last for just two days, which suggests this could be some simple pickup shots as opposed to any major changes.

The Predator was originally slated for release in February, before being pushed back to August, and then again to its current September date. At present, there’s no indication of another move and it appears that the film remains on track to arrive on September 14th.

From the outer reaches of space to the small-town streets of suburbia, the hunt comes home in Shane Black’s explosive reinvention of the Predator series. Now, the universe’s most lethal hunters are stronger, smarter and deadlier than ever before, having genetically upgraded themselves with DNA from other species. When a young boy accidentally triggers their return to Earth, only a ragtag crew of ex-soldiers and a disgruntled science teacher can prevent the end of the human race.

The Predator features a cast that includes Boyd Holbrook (Logan), Trevante Rhodes (Moonlight), Thomas Jane (The Punisher), Augusto Aguilera (The Fifth Man), Jacob Tremblay (Room) Sterling K. Brown (This is Us, The People v. O.J. Simpson), Keegan-Michael Key (Key & Peele), Olivia Munn (X-Men: Apocalypse), Alfie Allen (Game of Thrones), Yvonne Strahovski (Chuck), Edward James Olmos (Battlestar Galactica) and Jake Busey (From Dusk Till Dawn: The Series).
