Mckenna Grace to play the Warrens’ daughter in Annabelle 3

September 29, 2018 by Gary Collinson

Deadline is reporting that Gifted star Mckenna Grace has signed on for a lead role in The Conjuring Universe sequel Annabelle 3, with the young actress set to portray Judy, the daughter of Ed and Lorraine Warren (Patrick Wilson and Vera Farmiga).

Gary Dauberman (It, The Nun) has written the script for Annabelle 3, and will also make his directorial debut on the film. Dauberman recently revealed that the movie will take place in after the beginning of The Conjuring when the Warrens have brought Annabelle to their artefact room, where the demonic doll will continue to wreak havoc as it sets its sights on Judy and her two teenage babysitters. As yet there’s been no word whether Wilson and Farmiga will be reprising their roles as the Warrens.

The casting marks another big role for the twelve-year-old Grace, who is set to follow up her credits in the likes of Gifted, I, Tonya, Fuller House and Designated Survivor with Netflix’s The Haunting of Hill House, along with the Marvel superhero blockbuster Captain Marvel, where she will portray a young Carol Danvers.
