December 13, 2018 by Gary Collinson

Pixar Animation Studios has announced that Avengers: Infinity War stars Chris Pratt and Tom Holland have signed on to the cast of the upcoming animated feature Onward, where they will be joined by Julia Louis-Dreyfus (Veep) and Octavia Spencer (The Shape of Water).

Here’s the official synopsis:

Set in a suburban fantasy world, Disney-Pixar’s “Onward” introduces two teenage elf brothers who embark on an extraordinary quest to discover if there is still a little magic left out there.

“At Pixar we try to create stories that come from some kind of personal truth,” said director Dan Scanlon (Monsters University). “This film was inspired by my own relationship with my brother.”

Onward is set for release on March 6th 2020.
