Morbius, the Living Vampire finds its female lead in Adria Arjona

December 15, 2018 by Gary Collinson

Now that Venom has proven to be a smash hit at the box office, Sony is moving full steam ahead with its ‘Universe of Marvel Characters’, beginning with the Jared Leto-headlined Morbius, the Living Vampire movie.

With filming slated to begin in February, Deadline is reporting that Sony and director Daniel Espinosa (Life) have found their female lead in Adria Arjona, with the True Detective and Pacific Rim Uprising star set to portray Martine Bancroft.

In the comic books, Martine is engaged to Dr. Michael Morbius, a scientist who attempts to cure his fatal blood disease by creating a serum which transforms him into a vampire. Martine stands by Morbius following his transformation, but becomes a potential victim to his newfound bloodlust.
