The BBC’s Watership Down gets a first trailer

The BBC has released the first trailer for its star-studded CG animated adaptation of Richard Adams’ beloved 1972 novel Watership Down. Directed by Noam Murro, it features an impressive voice cast that includes James McAvoy, Daniel Kaluuya, Nicholas Hoult, Ben Kingsley, John Boyega, Olivia Colman, Taron Egerton, Rosamund Pike, Gemma Chan, Peter Capaldi, Gemma Arterton, Tom Wilkinson, Miles Jupp, Freddie Fox, Mackenzie Crook, Anne-Marie Duff, and Rory Kinnear; watch it here…

BBC One’s star-studded new adaptation of Watership Down uses Richard Adams’ bestselling novel as its source to bring an innovative interpretation to the much loved classic.

Adapted for the screen by Tom Bidwell and directed by Noam Murro, this tale of adventure, courage and survival follows a band of rabbits as they flee the certain destruction of their home.

Watership Down premieres on December 22nd.
