Marvel may be developing a Lady Sif series for Disney+

January 12, 2019 by Gary Collinson

After sitting out Thor: Ragnarok and Avengers: Infinity War – and, according to the Russo brothers, turning to dust during ‘The Decimation’ – it seems that Jaimie Alexander’s Lady Sif may be set for a return to the Marvel Cinematic Universe on the upcoming Disney+ streaming service.

According to Discussing Film, Marvel is currently developing a TV series featuring Alexander’s Lady Sif, which would join the likes of The Vision and Scarlet Witch, Loki and Falcon and the Winter Soldier as part of the streaming service’s Marvel output.

As it happens, Alexander is one of a handful of Marvel stars who’ve reprised their roles on the small screen, having made a guest appearance in Marvel’s Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.. She has however been absent in the MCU since her brief role in 2013’s Thor: The Dark World.

At present, the Lady Sif series is yet to be confirmed by Marvel or Disney, so we’ll need to file this one as a rumour for the time being alongside the reported Rocket Raccoon and Groot show. Still, let us know in the comments below if you’re excited about the prospect of seeing Alexander’s Asgardian warrior in her own limited series…
