Dougray Scott joins Batwoman TV pilot

February 20, 2019 by Gary Collinson

Mission: Impossible II and Hemlock Grove actor Dougray Scott has signed on to the cast of The CW’s Arrowverse pilot Batwoman, where he will portray the character of Jacob Kane, the father of Ruby Rose’s masked vigilante Kate Kane.

As per Deadline, Jacob’s character description reads:

“A former military colonel with a chip on his shoulder for Batman, Jacob Kane now commands Gotham’s private security firm The Crows, and has made it his mission to protect his city better than the Dark Knight ever could. But it’s only a matter of time before his unwavering disdain for vigilantes puts him at odds with Gotham’s new caped crusader…who also happens to be his own daughter.”

In addition to Scott’s casting, it has also been announced that David Nutter has dropped out of directing the pilot for personal reasons, and will be replaced in the director’s chair by Marcos Siega (The Vampire Diaries, The Following).

Batwing, and Rachel Skarsten (Lost Girl) as Alice, the leader of the villainous Wonderland Gang.
