No Man’s Sky is receiving full VR support this summer

March 26, 2019 by Liam Waddington

During the PlayStation State of Play showcase, Hello Games officially announced  that No Man’s Sky will be receiving full VR support.

Hello Games recently revealed the No Man’s Sky: Beyond update, and now we know this next major update will add VR functionality this summer in a free update for PlayStation VR and Steam VR.

Watch the announcement trailer here…

According to the PlayStation blog, “No Man’s Sky VR is not a separate mode, but the entire game brought to life in virtual reality. Anything possible in No Man’s Sky, NEXT or any other update is ready and waiting as an immersive and enriched VR experience.”

When the Beyond update was announced earlier this month, Sean Murray and Hello Games announced the Beyond update will bring three new components to the game to establish ‘a radical new social and multiplayer experience’. The first component being No Man’s Sky: Online, the second being the newly announced VR support, and a third feature that the company will talk more about when they can.

No Man’s Sky Beyond is set to be released this summer for PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC, as a free update.
