Trailer for Netflix’s Someone Great starring Gina Rodriguez, Brittany Snow, DeWanda Wise and Lakeith Stanfield

March 7, 2019 by Amie Cranswick

Ahead of its arrival on Netflix next month, the streaming service has released a new trailer and poster for writer-director Jennifer Kaytin Robinson’s upcoming romantic comedy Someone Great which stars Gina Rodriguez as Jenny, who after being dumped by her boyfriend (Lakeith Stanfield), decides to go on one last adventure with her friends (played by Brittany Snow and DeWanda Wise) before moving to San Francisco to pursue her dream job in music journalism; check them out here…

Aspiring music journalist Jenny (Gina Rodriguez) has just landed her dream job at an iconic magazine and is about to move to San Francisco. Rather than do long distance, her boyfriend of nine years (Lakeith Stanfield) decides to call it quits. To nurse her broken heart, Jenny gathers up her two best friends Erin (DeWanda Wise) and Blair (Brittany Snow) for one outrageous last adventure in New York City. From writer/director Jennifer Kaytin Robinson (creator of MTV’s Sweet/Vicious) SOMEONE GREAT is a hilarious and heartfelt story of friendship, love, and what it means to let go of your twenties and enter adulthood.

Someone Great arrives on Netflix on April 19th.
