Exclusive Beautiful Boy featurette explores The True Story Behind the Film

Coinciding with its home entertainment release in the UK this week, we’ve got an exclusive clip from the critically acclaimed Beautiful Boy starring Steve Carell and Timothee Chalamet, which contains interviews with the real-life David and Nic Sheff (who wrote the best-selling pair of memoirs on which the film is based) who discuss what prompted them to tell their story, and how they transitioned from writing about their experiences with addiction, to it being turned into a film. Starring Academy Award nominees Steve Carell (Foxcatcher, The Big Short) and Timothée Chalamet (Call Me by Your Name), Beautiful Boy is a deeply moving portrait of a family’s unwavering love and commitment to each other in the face of their son’s addiction and his attempts at recovery. As Nic repeatedly relapses, the Sheff’s are faced with the harsh reality that addiction is a disease that does not discriminate and can hit any family at any time.

Beautiful Boy is out now on Blu-ray and DVD.
