Cinematographer Greig Fraser reteaming with Matt Reeves for The Batman

July 25, 2019 by Ricky Church

The Batman has found its director of photography as The Hollywood Reporter has revealed Greig Fraser is re-teaming with director Matt Reeves for the next cinematic Batman adventure. The pair previously worked together on Reeves’ 2010 film Let Me In.

“It’s great to be working with Matt again,” Fraser told THR. “The Batman franchise is iconic and it’s a privilege to now be able to visualize it in my own way. Especially with the cumulative creative potential of all the talent and technicians we have in front of and behind the camera.”

Audiences will know Fraser’s previous work from Rogue One: A Star Wars Story, Zero Dark Thirty and more recently Vice. Fraser is currently working Denis Villeneuve’s anticipated adaptation of Dune.

Reeves briefly commented on the news over his Twitter account, simply welcoming Fraser to The Batman.

Hello, Mr. Fraser. 🦇

The Batman is set for a June 25th, 2021 release, with Robert Pattinson donning the cape and cowl.
