Dovetail Games announces Train Sim World 2020 with first trailer

July 16, 2019 by Liam Waddington

Dovetail Games has revealed Train Sim World 2020 is releasing on this coming 15th August for PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC. You can watch the announcement trailer here…

Serving as a new version of Train Sim World, the 2020 update brings new features to the experience including a new Journey system that highlights more than 100+ hours of simulation and a brand-new collection of routes with three of the best and more challenging from the last year – Main-Spessart Bahn, Northern Trans-Pennine and Long Island Rail Road.

All current and future players will also receive a free new major update that includes a reworked scoring system called Action Points – rewarding you for completing objectives, driving with accurate timing, and records your best performance on each route, scenario, and service you accomplish. The update will also offer a detailed set of results for each scenario and tutorials that highlight ways for the player to improve. Additionally, a route progress tracker will highlight services and jobs for you to complete during your time on each route.

Key features of Train Sim World 2020 includes:
• The new ‘Journey’ system blends together more than 24 hours of sequential gameplay for each route. Start a Journey on any route and enjoy hundreds of scenarios, service timetables, and jobs to complete around the railway.
• Improved tutorials and scoring will teach new players all they need to master the rails – and even old hands might find something new to learn in the new scoring and detailed analysis of every completed scenario.
• A new collection of content – either as a way for new players to dive right in, or existing players to expand their collection. From the busy commuter experience of Long Island to a nostalgic industrial route through the Pennines and the steep inclines of Main-Spessart Bahn
• A brand-new USA west coast route will also be available to buy individually or as part of a special Digital Deluxe Edition.
Will you be picking up Train Sim World 2020 on 15th August? Let us know in the comments below or tweet us @FMyth_Gaming…
