First-look images from Star Trek: Lower Decks animated comedy series

Not content with dropping a full trailer for the live-action Star Trek: Picard series during yesterday’s Comic-Con panel, CBS All Access also gave fans our very first peek at the upcoming animated comedy series Star Trek: Lower Decks with the unveiling of a selection of first look character images; check them out here…

Created by Emmy winner Mike McMahan (Rick & Morty), Star Trek: Lower Decks is one of two animated Star Trek shows in the works, and is a half-hour comedy revolving around the support crew serving on one of Starfleet’s least important ships, the U.S.S. Cerritos.

Set to feature in the voice cast of the series are Tawny Newsome as Ensign Beckett Mariner, Jack Quaid as Ensign Brad Boimler, Noel Wells as Ensign Tendi, Eugene Cordero as Ensign Rutherford, Fred Tatasciore as Lieutenant Shaxs, Dawnn Lewis as Captain Carol Freeman, Jerry O’Connell as Commander Jack Ransom, and Gillian Vigman as Doctor T’Ana.”

Star Trek: Lower Decks will air on CBS All Access in 2020.
