Supergirl Season 5 trailer released at Comic-Con

July 21, 2019 by Ricky Church

During the Supergirl panel at the San Diego Comic-Con, they revealed a first look at the upcoming fifth season with a trailer. Watch it below…

The season will see Supergirl (Melissa Benoist) getting an updated costume as she ditches the skirt she’s worn since the beginning of the series for dark pants. The sizzle reel gives a look at the past season while teasing what is to come for the superheroine, namely the fallout of Lena Luthor learning Supergirl’s true identity and how she has been lied to for years.

As has been tradition, Supergirl will crossover with the other CW Arrowverse shows for the anticipated Crisis on Infinite Earths special. Tyler Hoechlin will return to portray Superman, but Brandon Routh – who plays The Atom in Legends of Tomorrow – will reprise his Superman Returns role as the Man of Steel in the crossover too, playing a version inspired by the graphic novel Kingdom Come.
