Black Desert open beta now on Playstation 4

August 10, 2019 by Andrew Newton

The Open Beta for Black Desert, the open world action MMORPG, from Pearl Abyss is now available to download and play on the Playstation 4 ahead of its launch on 22nd August.  Running until 13th August, the Open Beta will be available to all players.  To celebrate the beta, a new trailer has been released and can be seen below…

The Black Desert Open Beta takes players to the lands of Serendia, Balenos and Calpheon where they will be able to choose from six character classes, including Warrior, Sorceress, Ranger, Berserker, Wizard and Witch.  Using the game’s robust character customisation tool players will be able to create their ideal characters before starting on their journey to the max level of 50.

Adventurers will also be able to participate in GM events throughout the game world, such as  cart racing, fishing and even hide-n-seek.  These will reward players with exclusive prizes and content.  And talking of exclusive items, all those who download the beta will receive the exclusive Sky Hawk pet when the game launches later this month.  The Sky Hawk pet will be able to loot items, increases Knowledge Gain Chance and finds rare monsters.

The Black Desert open beta is available now from the Playstation Store and is set to fully release on 22nd August.  The game is also available to pre-order now with Standard, Deluxe and Ultimate editions available.  The latter two editions will offer various in-game rewards and allow 48-hour early access to the full game.  All PlayStation Plus members will receive a 10% discount on all pre-order editions.
