Cobie Smulders didn’t know about Spider-Man: Far From Home’s post-credits twist

August 2, 2019 by Samuel Brace

Cobie Smulders, who appeared in Spider-Man: Far From Home as Maria Hill, didn’t know about the post-credits twist (spoilers follow)…

One of the features fans most look forward to for any new MCU movie is certainly the mid and post-credits sequences as we have no idea what to expect. Well, it turns out, some of the actors don’t even know about them.

In Spider-Man: Far From Home, Cobie Smulders appears as Maria Hill with Nick Fury in a car before being revealed to be a Skrull. In a recent interview with THR, the actress revealed she didn’t even know about the twist:

“Literally a week before the movie came out, I found out from Kevin [Feige] that they shot the extra scene [with Maria and Nick]. It was added [during postproduction]. That driving footage is from the first scene that got cut out of the movie.”
