Need for Speed Heat takes racers to an open world Palm City

August 14, 2019 by Liam Waddington

Electronic Arts and developer Ghost Games has announced Need for Speed Heat, a brand-new instalment in the Need for Speed series releasing 8th November 2019 for the PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC. If you have Origin or EA Access, you will have early access to the game starting on 5th November.

You can watch the reveal trailer here…

“Need for Speed Heat sends fans to Palm City, a brand-new open world where street racers have gathered to make their names known,” said EA.

During the day, players can compete in Speedhunters Showdown, a competition where you can earn money to customise and upgrade your garage full of high-performance cars. However, at night, you can risk everything to build up your reputation in underground races where a rogue police task force is ready to take racers down and take your earnings.

If you pre-order the standard edition of Need for Speed Heat, you’ll receive a K.S Edition styled Mitsubishi Evolution X. Additionally, pre-ordering the Deluxe Edition adds three K.S Edition styled cars to your roster including the BMW i8 Coupe, Mercedes C63 AMG Coupe, and Chevrolet Corvette Grand Sport, access to exclusive deluxe edition character clothing, and increased earnings of in-game currencies Bank and Rep.

Anyone who pre-orders Need for Speed Heat in-game from Need for Speed Payback on any format will also get a 10% discount as a Loyalty Reward.

You can expect to hear more about Need for Speed Heat and possibly a gameplay reveal at Gamescom next week. What are your intial thoughts on the game? Have you been waiting for a new instalment in the Need for Speed franchise? Let us know in the comments below or tweet us @FMyth_Gaming…
