Travis Fimmel to headline sci-fi thriller Zone 414

August 31, 2019 by Gary Collinson

According to Deadline, former Vikings star Travis Fimmel is set to lead the cast of Zone 414, a sci-fi thriller from first time feature director Andrew Baird and screenwriter Bryan Edward Hill.

Taking place in the near future in a colony of state-of-the-art human robots, the film will see Fimmel playing David Carmichael, a private investigator who is hired to locate the missing daughter of the colony’s creator.

Taking on the case, David teams up with the highly advanced AI Jane, and as they “move through the dangerous iron jungle, they rapidly piece together the mystery, uncovering a crime that leads them to question the origins of Zone 414 and the true purpose behind the ‘City of Robots’.”

Fimmel is currently shooting the Ridley Scott-directed TV series Raised by Wolves for TNT, and will next be seen on the big screen in Charlie Day’s El Tonto, where he stars alongside Kate Beckinsale, Jason Sudeikis, Adrien Brody, Jillian Bell, Common, Ken Jeong and John Malkovich.
