Classic Star Wars: Jedi Knight titles coming to Nintendo Switch and PS4

September 5, 2019 by Gary Collinson

Kyle Katarn is coming to the current generation of consoles (well, Nintendo Switch and PS4), with Aspyr announcing that it is releasing two legendary chapters of the Star Wars: Jedi Knight series in Star Wars: Jedi Knight II: Jedi Outcast and Star Wars: Jedi Knight: Jedi Academy!

First up is Star Wars: Jedi Knight II: Jedi Outcast, which will be released on September 24th and puts players into the shoes of Kyle Katarn, agent of the New Republic, as you test your skills across 24 single player missions with an arsenal of weapons and the full power of the force.

This will be followed in early 2020 by Star Wars: Jedi Knight: Jedi Academy, which will include the online multiplayer maps from the original game. Both games will feature modern controls, with GYRO aiming support for Nintendo Switch’s Joy-Cons.

“One of the most rewarding aspects of our work at Aspyr is bringing amazing experiences for iconic, global IP to more platforms and audiences,” said Elizabeth Howard, vice president of publishing at Aspyr. “Delivering classic Star Wars games to modern consoles, with the experience maximized to take advantage of the latest controls and features, is a responsibility we take very seriously. We can’t wait to see fans reactions.”
