Deadpool 2 and Hobbs & Shaw director eager to return for The Matrix 4

October 30, 2019 by Samuel Brace

David Leitch, the director of Deadpool 2, reveals that he would love to return to the crew for The Matrix 4.

The Matrix franchise is back with Lana Wachowski announcing a sequel/reboot to the iconic sci-fi trilogy. David Leitch, who was part of the stunts team for the trilogy, has revealed that would like to return to the fray as well.

Speaking to Coming Soon, the Deadpool 2 director said: “If Lana called and wanted me to do anything on that movie, I would come, I’d carry a c-stand or sandbags. I loved working with her and I loved working with her sister and I feel like I owe so much of my filmmaking background to working on not only the Matrix movies, but also Speed Racer, Ninja Assassin. They were great mentors to me, so if they call I’ll be there. Catering [even]!”

It’s going to be fascinating to see how The Matrix 4 pans out. Fingers crossed it can deliver a worthwhile entry into the franchise.
