J.J. Abrams claims Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker will provide a “cohesive” ending to the saga

October 22, 2019 by Liam Waddington

During an interview with Entertainment Weekly, Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker director J.J. Abrams has claimed he will give the most “cohesive” ending to the saga as possible.

“This is about bringing this thing to a close in a way that is emotional and meaningful and also satisfying in terms of actually answering [as many] questions as possible,” Abrams said. “So if years from now, someone’s watching these movies, all nine of them, they’re watching a story that is as cohesive as possible.”

As Star Wars fans, a cohesive and memorable climactic ending is what we most hope for after being strapped in for this journey across eight soon to be nine episodes in the Skywalker saga.

Although the plot for The Rise of Skywalker is still being kept under wraps, we do know that the final episode will include the return of The Emperor in some way, shape or form.
