Rumour: Liv Tyler’s Betty Ross could return in Marvel’s She-Hulk

October 16, 2019 by Gary Collinson

She’s been completely absent from the Marvel Cinematic Universe since its sophomore effort The Incredible Hulk back in 2008, but a new rumour is suggesting that Liv Tyler’s Betty Ross could be set for a return to the MCU as part of Marvel Studios’ She-Hulk series for Disney+.

According to Full Circle Cinema, Tyler is currently in talks with Marvel to reprise her role for the recently-announced series, and she’ll also be joined by her on-screen father Thunderbolt Ross, played by William Hurt.

She-Hulk was announced alongside Ms. Marvel and Moon Knight back in August, and will tell the story of Bruce Banner’s cousin Jennifer Walters, who in the comic books acquires a milder version of his Hulk condition after an emergency blood transfusion.

So far, there’s no word on any creative team for She-Hulk, nor has there been any reports of actresses in contention for the title role, although Marvel is reportedly looking to bring in someone in the 30-40 age bracket to portray Jennifer.

Are you excited about the prospect of Betty Ross making her return to the MCU? Who would you like to see cast as She-Hulk? Let us know in the comments, or on our social channels @FlickeringMyth…
