The CW developing Superman & Lois TV series with Tyler Hoechlin and Elizabeth Tulloch

October 28, 2019 by Gary Collinson

It looks like we may be seeing a lot more of Tyler Hoechlin’s Clark Kent and Elizabeth Tulloch’s Lois Lane following their upcoming appearance in the Crisis on Infinite Earths crossover, as Deadline is reporting that development is underway on a Supergirl spinoff series entitled Superman & Lois.

Scripted by The Flash EP Todd Helbing, who will executive produce with Arrowverse veteran Greg Berlanti, Superman & Lois will revolve “around the world’s most famous Super Hero and comic books’ most famous journalist as they deal with all the stress, pressures and complexities that come with being working parents in today’s society.”

According to Deadline’s report, Superman & Lois will be developed as a standalone pilot, as opposed to Green Arrow and the Canaries, which will receive a backdoor pilot in the upcoming final season of Arrow.

Hoechlin made his debut as Superman in the second season of Supergirl, while he was joined by Tulloch’s Lois Lane in last year’s Arrowverse crossover Elseworlds.
