Zombieland: Double Tap – Road Trip out now on PC and consoles

October 15, 2019 by Andrew Newton

Developer High Voltage Software has announced the release of Zombieland: Double Tap – Road Trip on Xbox One, Playstation 4, Nintendo Switch and PC.  Inspired by Sony Pictures’ Zombieland and Zombieland 2: Double Tap (due for release in cinemas on 18th October), this new game is set after the events of the first film and sees our four heroes take on the undead hordes.

Zombieland: Double Tap – Road Trip is a top down twin-stick shooter featuring our heroes Tallahassee, Columbus, Wichita and Little Rock as well as other characters from the upcoming film that can be unlocked during play.  Thanks to a local co-op multiplayer, up to 4 friends can play together as their favourite characters and go on a killing spree through a story-based campaign mode and wave-based Horde Mode.

Players will have access to a large arsenal of weapons and have a variety of special abilities that can be used against the huge numbers of uniquely grotesque and dangerous zombies.  It also pays not to ignore the essential Zombieland rules for survival.

n the sequel, written by Rhett Reese & Paul Wernick and Dave Callaham, through comic mayhem that stretches from the White House and through the heartland, these four slayers must face off against the many new kinds of zombies that have evolved since the first movie, as well as some new human survivors. But most of all, they have to face the growing pains of their own snarky, makeshift family.

Zombieland: Double Tap is set for release on October 18th and sees Woody Harrelson, Jesse Eisenberg, Emma Stone and Abigail Breslin reprising their roles as Tallahassee, Columbus, Wichita and Little Rock alongside new cast additions Rosario Dawson, Zoey Deutch, Avan Jogia, Luke Wilson, and Thomas Middleditch.
