Bring the magic home with Hasbro’s Frozen 2 dolls, playsets and games

November 23, 2019 by Gary Collinson

The following products were supplied to Flickering Myth by Hasbro…

Six years after taking the world by storm with the first movie, Elsa, Anna, Kristoff, Olaf and Sven are back for a new adventure this weekend as Disney unleashes its hotly-anticipated animated sequel Frozen 2.

This time, our heroes are heading out of Arendelle as they embark on a perilous adventure to discover the origin of Elsa’s magical powers whilst saving their kingdom from the threat of elemental spirits that inhabit the Enchanted Forest.

The fun doesn’t stop with the movie however, and kids can bring the magic home this holiday season thanks to an exciting new line of playsets, fashion and adventure dolls and other fun character assortments courtesy of Hasbro, and we’ve been fortunate to get our hands on some courtesy of the #FrozenFanFest promotion.

Leading the line are a wealth of new Disney fashion dolls, including: Singing Elsa and Anna Dolls, with the sisters belting out ‘Into the Unknown’ and ‘The Next Right Thing’ from the Frozen 2 soundtrack; Sister Style Elsa and Anna Dolls which come with extra long hair and mechanical hair-braiding tool; Arendelle Fashion Elsa and Anna Dolls with alternate dresses and accessories; and classic poseable fashion dolls which include the two sisters, Kristoff, and new character Matthias (voiced by Sterling K. Brown).

Of course, we can’t forget about Olaf and Sven, and if you’d prefer to get the whole gang together than Hasbro have you covered with the Disney Frozen Sledding Adventures Pack. Not only does this include Anna, Elsa, Kristoff, Olaf and Sven, each wearing outfits and boots inspired by the new movie, but there’s also a sled included so the characters can enjoy a sleigh ride around Arendelle and beyond.

New to the world of Frozen this year is the Nokk, a mythical water spirit who Elsa meets and tames during her epic journey in Frozen 2, and the Queen and her mount are available together in the following two-pack, and in the same scale as the dolls shown above.

As well as the 12-inch fashion dolls, all of your favourite characters are also available in 4-inch scale (including new Frozen 2 additions like Nokk, Mattias, Ryder and Honeymaren), and if that’s not enough to keep the kiddies entertained there’s also a series of Pop Adventures playsets and a Bop It! Olaf, while the whole family can get in on the fun with Frozen 2-themed editions of the classic board games Monopoly and Trouble!

Why was Elsa born with magical powers? The answer is calling her and threatening her kingdom. Together with Anna, Kristoff, Olaf and Sven, she’ll set out on a dangerous but remarkable journey. In “Frozen,” Elsa feared her powers were too much for the world. In “Frozen 2,” she must hope they are enough.

Frozen 2 sees Kristen Bell, Idina Menzel, Josh Gad and Jonathan Groff returning to voice the characters of Anna, Elsa, Olaf and Kristoff alongside Frozen newcomers Evan Rachel Wood and Sterling K. Brown.
