Christoph Waltz, Bill Skarsgard and Lily Collins set for Gilded Rage

November 4, 2019 by Gary Collinson

As revealed by Deadline, Christoph Waltz (Spectre), Bill Skarskard (It) and Lily Collins (Tolkien) are set to star in the thriller Gilded Rage, which is being directed by Charlie McDowell (The Discovery).

Based on an article in Vanity Fair in 2015, the film is inspired by the brutal murder of Manhattan hedge fund magnate Thomas Gilbert Sr. by his son Tommy, which received nationwide attention in the news, and rattled New York high society.

McDowell has scripted the film with Justin Lader, while Jake Gyllenhaal and Riva Marker are set to produce through their Nine Stories production company. Filming is slated to get underway in the spring of 2020.
