Marvel’s Kevin Feige comments on his Star Wars plans, says The Rise of Skywalker “looks incredible”

November 13, 2019 by Samuel Brace

Marvel’s Kevin Feige has commented on his plans for the Star Wars movie he is set to produce alongside Lucasfilm’s Kathleen Kennedy

As the head of Marvel Studios, Kevin Feige has made his name with the huge success of the MCU. He has now been hired to produce a film in the Star Wars universe with Disney hoping he can repeat his past successes.

We don’t know anything about Feige’s film as yet but in a recent interview with the THR podcast (via ComicBook.com) he did comment on what drew him to the gig: “I love that world and I love the notion of exploring new people and new places in that universe. But that’s sort of all that can be said for now.”

Feige also doesn’t think that Star Wars fatigue is a problem worth worrying about, citing the huge success of the recent movies: “Well they’ve made about five movies in about five years and it’s made over five billion dollars, so I think they’re doing just fine with Star Wars. And Rise of Skywalker looks incredible to me.”

We will have to wait and see exactly what Feige has in store for the franchise but with the future so open right now after the Skywalker saga ends this December, it’s surely an exciting time to be coming on board.
